DABKE SUNDAYS!
You are very welcome to come and learn Dabke – a Leventine folk dance – with us. Let’s find ways to connect with Palestine, celebrate this cultural heritage, and bring joy and life to the cause.
Dance and music are powerful tools. When we dance, we perform the gestures that others before us have danced and that others yet to come will dance.
It would be beautiful and healing for more people to learn Dabke--so that we can be many when we’re dancing together, moving backwards and forward.
It will be an open class for everyone, regardless of experience. We will start with the basics and gradually move to more complex dances. Come in comfortable sneakers and bring your water bottle. We look forward to seeing you!
