Celebrating this kid today. His last high school home game tonight. Josh has had a rollercoaster of a bball career. 2 ACL surgery’s. Missing Grade 8 and 11. Then a heart infection (myocarditis and pericarditis) that threatened his senior year and future. There were many long nights and days some tears and lots of prayers. God is good. He watched many of his teammates progress and go on without him but he stayed with it and stayed positive and showed character and modelled what a good teammate looks like. So proud of you Josh. Keep shooting and make sure to pass me the rock Tuesdays nights. I’m always open.
“We really gelled as a team this year and we showed it everyday on and off the ice. This group is special and it was my consistent back checking, short shifts and gritty play in the corners that really made the difference. When I went dash 3 on that last shift I just decided to not give up. To keep skating and then call a time out cuz I was gassed.
