I’m beyond excited to share that TAPE @tape.film , the latest feature I cut, is heading to Raindance 2025! It’s been a dream to have a film screen at this iconic festival—and now it’s real.
Huge thanks to @bizhantong for trusting me to edit this powerful, fearless film, and to @raindancefilmfestival for helping it find a wider audience. I’m so proud of this one and can’t wait for UK folks to experience it.
Synopsis:
Three high school friends reunite 15 years later in Hong Kong only to confront a harrowing secret from their past. A gripping real-time drama exploring power, truth, and trauma, TAPE is a bold reimagining of Richard Linklater’s cult classic set in modern-day Asia.

Thrilled to share that TAPE is releasing in cinemas TODAY! 🎬
I had the privilege of editing this project directed by Bizhan Tong and adapted from Richard Linklater’s indie classic. Relocated to Hong Kong, the story follows three old friends whose reunion spirals into a tense battle over memory, consent, and long-buried secrets.
It stars Kenny Kwan, Selena Lee, and Adam Pak, whose powerful performances made the edit so rewarding. With Richard Linklater himself as Executive Producer, alongside Green Book’s John Sloss and Stephen Belber (who co-wrote the screenplay with Tong), the film also features a beautiful score by UK musician Keaton Henson and brilliant sound design from Justin Randell.
This was a real challenge: three characters, one room, and a story unfolding in real time in a language I don’t speak. The process pushed me to think differently about pacing, rhythm, and tension, and reminded me that emotion truly transcends language.
I’m so proud of what the team has created and can’t wait for audiences to experience it on the big screen.

Raindance Opening Gala! 🎞️🎥
A wonderful start to @raindancefilmfestival last night at the Opening Gala. It was great to chat to so many filmmakers about their exciting projects and I loved the rousing speeches from Raindance Icons Celia Imrie and Jason Isaacs.
