Intertwined was made long before the music.
When I first met Mitalee, I didn’t know just how intertwined our worlds would become. Mitalee had already written these words, years before I met her and when she shared them with me, I held onto them tightly. Slowly, I built this song around them.
In time, with several variations and many bilingual conversations about the different meanings of the words— the song became exactly what it needed to be.
And along the way, it deepened our friendship.
We met at a pivotal moment where everything was shifting in our separate lives; experiencing the same kind of endings and the same need to rebuild.
This track carries a bit of that sentiment. Intertwined is the inception of our growth, but only the beginning of our friendship and collaboration.
