Reconnecter hier et aujourd’hui
Faire vibrer les sons qui soignent de Samoa au Henua Enata
Regarder devant nous en puissant dans nos racines
C’est le son du vivo
C’est le son d’hier
C’est le son d’aujourd’hui
Reconnecting yesterday and today
Vibrate to the healing sounds from Samoa to Henua Enata
Looking ahead with strength in our roots
It’s the sound of vivo
It’s the sound of yesterday
It’s the sound of today

Paradise looks different when you’re living on the frontline of #climatechange.

Through the Trouble in Paradise exhibition, Pacific photographers shared what that reality feels like, from changing coastlines to disappearing traditions and the daily rhythms of life in a changing world.
Â
Originating from a UK Government photo competition that invited people from across the Pacific to document the everyday impacts of climate change in the lead-up to the UK-hosted COP26, the British Council toured the exhibition in the Pacific, including at last year’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa. The exhibit has now travelled from New Zealand to Vancouver, with an innovation curation at the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia as global conversations move toward COP30.
Â
This collaboration between @nzpacificbritish@ukinnewzealand , @ukincanada , and @moa_ubc celebrates the community, connection, and shared storytelling of the Pacific communities who made this work possible.
