Mich is an illustrator and cartoonist archiving the lonely and hopeful corners of Toronto. Her comic, ‘Pirohy’, follows Sasha’s new routine as a baker in the Ukrainian spot down the street, and the unexplainable phenomena that happen during those dark, early mornings. Check out more of her work at @miszelk.a and portfolio-michmaliszewska.format.com!
Does Toronto winter got you down? Join us for the launch of“This City Doesn’t Love You” a new autofiction zine about overpriced apartments, pretentious art galleries, and the love that survives it all 🩷
Off the tail of “Baby’s First Apartment” Mich Maliszewska is back with another collection of comics about the best worst city in the world. Come by for a night of easy drinks, good vibes, and new work from the city’s up-and-coming illustrators!

excited to announce that i’ve been working on new comics, and baby’s got a new look. “THIS CITY DOESN’T LOVE YOU” releases this march—more peeks to come 🩷
What does a three piece band need you to bring our NYE party? A three piece suit (or dress in your best) for a classy night at Bampot. Henry Lewis and the Court of the Cloud Queen band, with Henry on keys, Keon Narinesingh on Bass, and Annie Elgie singing and on the snare drum. There will also be DJs for late night partying and a surprise performer we’ll announce soon.
Spirit of York is sponsoring the evening, with bespoke cocktails and flare bartending on display. Come meet award winning bartender Kat Veilleux behind bar. We’re also providing a complimentary glass of bubbly at midnight.
Amongst other shenanigans with more details to come, we’ll have a photobooth to show off your final fashion moment of the first quarter of the century (Or your first one going into the next!).
