It seems it’s Ian Browns birthday today … Here’s my portrait for his ‘Golden Greats’ release from 1999 … and my first pencil rough that was thought to resemble a police sketch … ??!! We met with him to show the artworks in Manchester- immediately friendly and hospitable he made us both ( myself and Steven Kennedy the Art Director) endless cups of tea … it was a memorable afternoon with great chats … He has presence in the flesh that it made me slightly frustrated that I had just been working from photographs … @ianbrown #ianbrown #ianbrowngoldengreats
