This visit marked my final Miles for Music appearance before the school semester comes to an end, and I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter way to wrap it up than spending time at Rattan Elementary in Anna during their fun-filled field day week! Thank you so much to Mrs. Campbell for inviting me and making this visit possible.
This year with Miles for Music has been one I will never forget. When I first started this initiative, I wanted to see 10,000 kids with my performances. I have now exceeded that goal reaching over 50,000 students through music, storytelling, and self-expression. From traveling nearly 20,000 miles across Texas to spending countless hours volunteering, every school visit, performance, and conversation reminded me exactly why I started Miles for Music in the first place.
To every student, teacher, counselor, administrator, volunteer, and supporter across the Lone Star State: thank you for believing in this mission. Seeing students find their spark through music and creativity has impacted me just as much as I hope I’ve impacted them.
So grateful for this journey and all the campuses that welcomed Miles for Music with open arms this year. Texas, thank you for an unforgettable school year. I can’t wait to see where the music takes us next ⭐️
