Is the child a “slow learner” or are you lacking in professional tools for effective learning engagement?
There are careful learners who require process for learning to happen. However, a child is rather a careful learner NOT a “slow learner”. Over here, we do not label children as “slow learners”.
Let every setback in class prompt you to reflect on professional tools for deep learning.
We are professional teachers not thieves.

I had a time yesterday with industry colleagues, family, friends and caregivers of autistic persons. My person for the day was this grandma who went all blue for a cause, including colouring her hair blue. I could not withhold my delight and admiration of her person.
April is recognised as Autism Awareness Month. Today, the 2nd of April, is World Autism Day, designated by the United Nations.
You may ask, what is autism? Also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder, it is a “life-long” neurodevelopmental condition that affects how a person participates in the world. It is important to note that autism does not go away; it is a “life-long” condition that occurs in the human brain and affects social interaction, behaviour, and communication.
According to published research, autism (ASD) has no known cause nor cure. I wish to add that it is not a spiritual problem or caused by any curse.
Why is there overdiagnosis of autism in recent times? The answer is simple: awareness! People are now more aware, so it is easier to spot. Autism does not show on the face, but it can present as repetitive behaviour. Therefore, I call on you to be kinder to people, especially children, who act strangely in public spaces. Educate yourself and your children to be more inclusive of autistic people. And yes! Schools, be more inclusive of children on the spectrum.
Finally, make a difference: join the advocacy! Ensure inclusion and educate parents living in denial.
Share this with your religious groups, schools and friends.

These last weeks have been hard. Hard… the kind of hard that stresses you to forget who your God is, that type that blinds you from remembering that you have been redeemed many times, one that comes to belittle your faith and spirituality.
Sometimes, trials make you hide to beat the hell out of you. When those days show their ugly faces, honey, never gives in. Go look for someone to hold. Holding heals.
Yesterday, George Herbert’s “The Pulley” made rhythm in my heart. Man, I giggled hard… God is truly “The Pulley” This or these too shall pass. Laugh it out, do not let the devil catch you with a bowed face. Bowing to his bitter battering lies. Don’t give it to such ugliness. Faith never fails
It matters less how life ends, God is the greatest!❤️
I am leaving this here for another tough day. As long as we live, they will come. Thrive on…
This is not a pity party. It is a testimony
