My favorite makeup I did in all of 2023, and quite possibly ever. Last year my friend @charlesbradleyduncan asked if I would be interested in turning him into Regan from The Exorcist so he could be an officiant for his friends’ Halloween themed wedding. I’ve never said yes to something so quickly. I don’t know the couple whose wedding this was for, but I already love them for having such a fun time with their big day. I was SO HYPE to do this makeup for Brad! Not only because he is one of the most standup guys I’ve ever met, but having the opportunity to recreate such an iconic horror look (while including Brad’s trademark mustache) for an event like a wedding is my actual dream.
This makeup was achieved using @alconeco third degree, several @mehronmakeup paradise paints, @skinillustratorofficial alcohol palettes, @faceatelier white foundation mixer, & several other products from @bennyemakeup , @maccosmetics , @frendsbeauty , etc. We decided to keep the level of blood, vomit, & general grotesque-ness at a medium level, just in case there were any people in attendance who may not have be able to handle the maximum level of gore that could have been put into this look. Even still I absolutely love the look we created. I aged the nightgown for him using watered down craft paints & coffee.. and Tim assisted me greatly in texturizing and customizing a cheap wig to look tattered and tangled into the perfect Regan hair.
Weddings are often so stuffy, with the expectation of “perfection” hanging over the wedding party like a dark cloud, I LOVE to see people having fun with it and creating memories for everyone involved that are unique & nothing short of spectacular. Even six months later the very idea of him officiating a wedding in this costume brings a little tear of joy to my eye. These are the moments that let me know I am in the right field.
Still obsessing over this look we created for NAHA back in 2020. Cut by @priscillabrownhair color by @paigeivycolor makeup by me, model: @um.im.kaitlyn

Last week I turned my gorgeous client Susan into an evil Siren, and her husband Ben into a drowned sailor. This was such a fun project, I made the barnacle prosthesis and customized the siren crown a few days before the appointment. I love the way they came out, I did have so many more plans for the drowned sailor’s makeup, but time got the better of me that day. It still turned out well for a complete experiment with only a few days of prep, I’m just so persnickety.
I love doing these over the top costume makeups so much.
I did this back in June… it started as an airbrush practice, then it became an experiment in gold leaf, then it became a statement. The makeup is far from perfect, but today seemed like a great day to share it.
Happy Birthday to one of my favorite people @eauxbrass
I was just reminiscing about Spencer’s “Death to my 30’s” funeral themed birthday celebration at Sassy Anne’s last year.
What an amazing night dancing with beautiful people, mourning until morning with my best girl @kt7b 🖤

I pulled this outfit out of my archival costume bin for a friend’s Halloween wedding reception this past weekend.
I made these “suspenders” & Multipass for Halloween 9 years ago (!!!) and I am thrilled that they still fit. I did have to buy and style this cheap Amazon wig since the last time I wore this I had an orange bob haircut & needed no wig.

The Fifth Element remains on my short list of favorite movies after all these years. The aesthetic, the wardrobe, the characters, all the performances. Just a stellar piece of sci-fi cheese that makes me feel like a kid again every time I watch it.

Believe it or not I played kickball in this getup, because @the.kyla.jean does not host any events that don’t include a round of kickball.
I had the opportunity to create this Reptile Queen look on one of my dearest friends and the best model @missmakeupmachine for a 798 class! 🦎
Thank you so much for sitting for me, and thank you to our WONDERFUL instructors @roccomua & @krs_efx , it was an honor 🫶
