We are shocked and shaken by the tragedy in Tumbler Ridge. On behalf of the City of Mission, we offer our deepest sympathies to the victims, their families, and the entire community, and we wish strength and full recovery to those who were injured. We know the road to healing will be long, and we hope Tumbler Ridge knows that our City stands with them. Flags across civic facilities will be lowered to half-mast for seven days to acknowledge, remember, and stand with Tumbler Ridge. Paul Horn Mayor of Mission

We are installing a new steam generator that will fix the steam room and ensure a safe and clean wellness experience! The steam room generator experienced a failure, and the equipment did not fulfill its anticipated service life due to this issue. This past December, staff confirmed that it cannot be repaired and requires replacement. The new equipment is currently on order and in production. The supplier anticipates delivery by mid-January. Staff will closely monitor the procurement and installation process and will provide updates should timelines change. The sauna remains open for guests to enjoy. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Learn more about the ongoing Mission Leisure Centre Upgrades by visiting mission.ca.
