Last year, Mission Fed launched its first "Community is Everything" Fund, offering grant funding to local nonprofits across San Diego. More than 200 organizations applied. While we couldn't fund every applicant, we still wanted to create space for connection. This mindset led to our first-ever Community is Everything Symposium at Mission Fed headquarters!
Through speakers, a panel discussion, and conversation, non-profit leaders came together to share ideas, build connections, and learn additional ways to support one another and their missions.

@center4children continues to make an important impact in our community, and Mission Fed is grateful to play a small part in supporting their mission. This time it was through the Center's "Party with a Purpose" fundraising event!
Not only is it meaningful to come together in support of an organization doing such important work for children and families navigating emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges - it is critical.

We were proud to recently award four $1,000 scholarships to students pursuing higher education while celebrating multilingualism through the San Diego County Office of Education's CABE65 and Bea Gonzales Biliteracy Scholarships.
Our long-time members may remember, but if you're new, before we served all San Diegans, we were founded to support educators. And our connection to the education community continues through opportunities like this.

We were thrilled to surprise the @sdhumanesociety Walk for Animals participants with a special appearance from @_jacksonmerrill_ !
It was awesome to see so many pets and their humans, and the excitement when Jackson showed up to help kick off the walk made the day even more special.
Mission Fed was proud to present the San Diego Humane Society with a $20,000 gift for the year to support the incredible work they do for animals in our community. 🐾❤️🔔

So proud to celebrate our very own Mary Wood, who was recently named as one of the Volunteers of the Year at the @nc_philanthropy Volunteer Awards Celebration.
