Today, I got the chance to meet Charles, a visually impaired individual who inspired me in so many ways. ✨
We had a deeply meaningful conversation about visual impairment, the stigma around it, and the way society often perceives visually impaired individuals through the lens of sympathy. What truly stayed with me was his perspective that people with visual impairments do not simply need sympathy, they need accessibility, inclusion, and opportunities to navigate the world with dignity and independence.
Charles also spoke about how today’s generation is slowly changing this mindset, becoming more aware, more inclusive, and more willing to work alongside visually impaired individuals to create a better and more accessible world for everyone.
I walked away from this conversation feeling inspired, enlightened, and grateful for everything I learned from him today. I truly hope this conversation makes all of us reflect, learn, and contribute in our own way towards building a more inclusive society. ❤️

Today, a vision quietly came to life. ❤️
Back in my college days, I used to write exams for a visually impaired student named Shubham. I still remember how often he spoke about this one book he deeply wanted to access as an audiobook, but somehow never could. That conversation stayed with me for years.
And today as part of my From the Ground Up Initiative, Beyond Sight, Beyond Limits, seeing people come together to make knowledge and stories more accessible felt incredibly special.
In association with Sarika Sureka, Founder of Pincode 49+ and President of Rotary Elegant Regal Year, Komal Shah, Founder of Pincode 49+, Disha Bhatija, Disability Director, and a beautiful group of volunteers who generously took time out of their schedules, we recorded audiobooks for the visually impaired.
These recordings will now become a part of Team Vision’s audio library, contributing towards an app they are building that will be accessible free of cost for the visually impaired community.
What moved me the most was watching people show up so selflessly for something that many of us often take for granted, access to books, learning and imagination.
It honestly does not take a lot to give back. Sometimes, all it takes is a willing heart. ✨
