I used to think strength and softness were opposites.
Like you had to choose who you were allowed to be: strong or feminine or capable or gentle.
But people are layered, we are not meant to fit into one box.
There is softness in strength, and strength in softness.
You can be independent and still feminine. You can be powerful and still gentle. You can take up space and still be soft.
I think society has attached femininity to fragility for too long you hear phrases like be smaller, quieter, weaker, less capable, less muscular, less independent. I no longer believe any of that defines femininity.
There is beauty in being capable.
Mentally, emotionally, physically.
There is beauty in being strong.
A lot of times strength takes detour. As someone who always sets very specific expectations and goals for every session, this can leave you feeling dissatisfied by the end of it.
You can have a goal in the back of your mind, but at the end of the day, you still have to work with whatever your body gives you that day.
This day squats ended up feeling a lot better than I expected.

Although training with intent, structure and pushing yourself enough will definitely create results on their own, it’s the nutrition side that creates the most difference. As a woman with a major sweettooth and appetite I had to discover ways to make hitting my macros (and micros) sustainable enough so that I can maintain this lifestyle forever 🔑
