I am still struggling to put this experience into words. Most close to me know how excited and nervous I’d been about taking part in the TRAKA200. My second ever gravel race. My training focus this past few months. Getting sick right after Wörthersee Gravel Race didn’t contribute well to my tensions. I expected it to be hard and it was. I started alone, found my rhythm quite fast on the first few climbs, and after a clumsy girl incident was able to catch a group for the first flat part and went exhausted but happy into the assistance area at km 100. The real suffering began after that. Climbing took forever and descending got so exhausting due to the technical bits. Luckily I met @jsn.tdd at the second feed zone which lifted my mood so much! Being able to talk to someone and push together made the second part of this race so much easier. Crossing the finish line in 9h12min44sec, coming in 20th for my age category makes me feel very proud of myself.
For me longer races put even more emphasis on shared experience and I am so proud of @therreslll , @annikenroynstrand and @morganfranc for smashing this as well and being able to debrief this together afterwards.
What a week. I am super grateful for the support I’ve received this week (you know who you are!), how much I’ve learned and for all the new and deeper connections coming out of this.

Recap of my first ever gravel race. ⭐️ I picked Wörthersee Gravel Race @woertherseegravelrace as a preparatory race for Traka200. I trained really consistently during winter, found joy in doing intervals and training in a structured way for the first time again since quitting ultimate. One month before the race I was diagnosed with a bone bruise in my knee, uncertain if it had come from overtraining or from twisting my knee, I reduced intensity in my training a lot and didn’t train the way I would’ve liked to coming into the race. Wörthersee proved me wrong and I was super happy with the turnout. After the mass start my pulse was already high and I just did my best to stay on @therreslll wheel. I was so happy we managed to stick together which made it an overall fun, challenging and exciting first race. I would really say we left it all out there and I defo enjoyed a weekend competing again after a long time of not doing sports competitively.
