The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards Runway Fashion Show gave all it was supposed to give plus a Lil more. It was a night for designers, fashion enthusiasts and movies buds. For a first edition, @dstvnigeria pulled all the plugs and got everyone fashionably dressed.

Last night, the Red Sea Film Foundation hosted its annual Women In Cinema gala at the Cannes Film Festival, the event that brought together actors and filmmakers across the Arab, Africa and Asia for one of the festival’s most iconic celebrations of female talent in celebration of women’s cinematic contributions.
In attendance was Nollywood icon and one of the leading and pioneer of Nollywood’s global expansion @GenevieveNnaji who was honored at the event for her immense contributions and work in promoting and advancing the quality, reach, and global positioning of Africa storytelling making her one of the most recognized and respected voices shaping the future of Nollywood today. Silence was something that characterised the last five months of #AlexEkubo’s life, from his last post in December 2025 to his death, aged 41, on 12th May2020. During those weeks and amid the social media concern, the actor wasn’t able to made a great comeback as expected by the fans following the success of his recent movie ‘Adanne’ that was released on February. It was really disheartening receiving the news of his demise after a battle with liver cancer. Ikuku as known by fans emerged the Ist runner up in MR NIGERIA contest in 2010, an opportunity that gave him the platform to launch his mainstream movie career in Nollywood will go down as one of Nollywood’s great and we are sending all the love to his family in this difficult time. 💔
