I started business in Nigeria long before I fully understood what I was building. In 2016, while still in school, I launched Mimi Collectibles. While others sourced goods from nearby markets, I was traveling to Lagos to buy in bulk and moving products across borders into Cotonou by road. It was stressful, unpredictable, and at times exhausting, but it was profitable, and more importantly, it taught me scale early. What started with selling male fashion evolved quickly. I moved into bags, sourcing from trusted vendors and building a loyal client base. At some point, I was ordering 5–10 bags weekly just to meet demand. Logistics were tough, waybills, delays, explanations but I stayed consistent. That consistency paid off. The business grew into millions in revenue, and I expanded into ready-to-wear male fashion, working with a partner to move products at scale across markets like Asaba and Onitsha. We didn’t just sell, we dominated our space at the time. From there, I transitioned again. I stepped into supplies and real estate, facilitating land sales, building trust with clients, and delivering value that has kept long-term relationships intact till today. That trust became my currency. Today, my expertise has evolved beyond buying and selling. I operate within the supply chain, granite, sharp sand, stone base, and building materials, supporting construction and development projects. I understand movement, logistics, margins, and most importantly, people. Because at the core of everything I’ve built is this: People trust me with their money, and I deliver. That is not luck. That is business. And this is exactly why platforms like the CEO Brunch are not just events, they are rooms where real value, real networks, and real opportunities are created. It’s the AUDACITY for me! 🤦‍♀️ Back in 2017 I lived in a glass HOUSE. Abuja, Maitama. Food made by a chef, clothes done by laundry, instead of climbing steps I used the lift inside OUR HOUSE. Allowance came every week, sometimes daily. Well fed, well read, had all the time in the world for that. This picture is maybe 9 years old or more. Beautiful, I suppose. Went all out, family went all out for me. You see, when I talk about being a woman in your 20s, I forget to say as a girl in her teens. They see this post, they read it, and they should know, be wary of the people you surround yourself with. I didn’t come from a wealthy family or have a wealthy upbringing. I met wealth on the way up, mostly through my extended family. Coming into that world gave me a little knowledge and a wealth of experience that walks my path today. I surrounded myself with people who had the best schooling, the most experience, and I tapped from it. I learned more, I spoke better. Lol, someone said to me recently you have an H sound. I smiled, most people do. Mine would have been worse if I didn’t move. Find the audacity. Be spontaneous. Explore. Don’t confine yourself to one space. And if you find yourself doing great things in a space, find a way to explore. Explore with everyone and everything that comes your way. Just maybe your audacity will be well known and you will be respected for it. Have the audacity to MOVE.

5 THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR IN 2026 (As a young woman in her 20s) 1. Direction over pressure Not every opportunity is alignment. Choose paths that match your values, not timelines imposed by society or social media. 2. Boundaries that protect your growth Say no without guilt. Anything that drains your peace, time, or focus will cost you more than you think. 3. The illusion of being “on time” There is no universal schedule for success. Your journey does not need to look like anyone else’s to be valid. 4. Relationships that slow you down Friendships, workspaces, or environments that discourage growth, learning, or ambition are red flags, even if they feel familiar. 5. Building substance, not just aesthetics Looks will open doors, but skills, character, and consistency will keep you in the room. Invest deeply in who you are becoming.

Yesterday, I had the honour of representing the Honourable Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Community Support Services and Girl Child Development, Hon. Orode Uduaghan (@orode.uduaghan ), at Day 1 of the Progressive Digital Media Summit 2025, held at the State House Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, Abuja. The summit, themed Unveiling the Critical Role of New Media in National Development with a Focus on the Renewed Hope Agenda, brought together media professionals, policymakers, youth advocates, and digital creators to explore how digital platforms can drive inclusive growth. Organized by the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Mr Dada Olusegun (@do.lusegun ) and hosted under the leadership of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialasiwajubat ) , the event was a powerful reflection of the administration’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and youth inclusion. It was a privilege to witness national conversations on the role of media in shaping policy, fostering unity, and empowering the next generation. As Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Female Youth Development, I was proud to see the emphasis on women and youth voices in shaping Nigeria’s digital future. The energy in the room was inspiring, and a strong reminder that with the right platforms, we can all be part of the change. Day 1 was impactful. #digimediasummit2025 #thepowerofher
