Say hi to Daniel Choi, the newest member of the Mir family! Choi found his way to Mir after first working with W10, Studio Precht and Fosters&Partners.
He came to Mir just on the day when we decided to wash all our white lab coats and overalls.
Cheers to a bright future 🥳🥂

Images for @notahotel and a project called Yugawara, after the town with the same name. Located only a short train ride from Tokyo, the town is known for its natural hot springs and traditional ryokan inns. We fell in love with the liveliness of the site; waterfalls tumble over rocks and the hillsides are bursting with trees and life.
This is Nature Within by @unformedesign for @notahotel_official
The project won first prize in a competition to design a retreat on this beautiful site in Kitakaruizawa. The location, only 70-minutes from Tokyo using the Hokuriku Shinkansen, is one of Japan's oldest and most famous mountain resort towns. Sitting around 1000 metres above sea level, Karuizawa enjoys a notably cooler climate than the capital and as such, offers “real” winters as well as an escape from the heat and humidity of summer.
A second visit to this hospitality project by @jensen_skodvin_architects planned to be built not that far from our studio.
The fjords of western Norway are known for spectacular scenery and ever-changing weather. Tourists travel here from all over the world for a different experience, one where nature plays the main role over and above everything else. The light is different up here, and we wanted to capture this and the disagreeable "in-between" seasons that we grew up with and have learnt to love. The wet days of winter and the breezy, cold days of summer. Hospitaly means more when the surroundings are like that; two faced and even inhospitable at times.
Congratulations to @officialheatherwickstudio and @manicaarchitecture together with filmdirector/writer Steven Knight on winning the design competition for the new Birmingham City Football Club Stadium.
Besides being voted best Global firm, Oppenheim Architecture won two A+ Awards this year. Jury Winner in the Unbuilt Culture category for the Besa Museum and Jury Winner in the Unbuilt Multi-Unit housing category with the Tirana Boulevard Tower. Congratulations @oppenheimarchitecture and thanks for trusting us with the renderings for both projekts 🙏
