Credits: 👼Lisa Marr sang and played bass on all songs, but she also whistled on “I’m Your Angel.” 🥁lisa g played drums, but on “Por Favor” she yelped and played guitar, and on “I’m Your Angel” she tra-la-la’d. 🎸Robynn Iwata sang backup and played guitar, but she also drummed on “Por Favor.” GUEST STARS: 🎹Lorraine Finch played organ on “Everything’s Geometry.” 🪇Marc L’Esperance yelped and played maracas on “Por Favor.” and played tambourine on New York City.” 🎸Kevin Rose played guitar on “So Far Apart.” 🎤Come Out Come Out was recorded at Lemonloaf Studio in Burnaby, BC, August 1994. “It Can Only Be So Wrong for So Long”: Nora Kelly Band Channel Heartbreak into “Irish Goodbye,” a Swaggering Alt-Country Anthem of Hard-Won Freedom (@norakellyband ) — Montreal’s Nora Kelly Band channel the hard-won grace of walking away into “Irish Goodbye,” a driving indie rock-laced alt-country anthem – and standout off their upcoming sophomore album ‘So Wrong for So Long’ – that transforms heartbreak, self-awareness, and letting go into a cathartic, windows-down release. . “‘Irish Goodbye’ is about the breakup between me and my ex-boyfriend who was also my bass player. Messy, I know. I wrote it just a few days before we were set to record the album. At first, I thought it was too last-minute and figured it would end up on the next record. But my band, along with our amazing producer Marcus Paquin encouraged me to workshop it in the studio. In the end, it became my favourite track on the album.” . “For me, ‘Irish Goodbye’ is about the quiet power of leaving a relationship with grace, accepting that things won’t turn out the way you hoped and choosing the high road. It’s like slipping out of the party that was your ‘good old days’ and beginning the process of moving on.” . “So Wrong for So Long is about discovering what strength really means. On the album cover, I’m portrayed as the ultimate stereotype of strength, a sailor covered in tattoos with comically oversized arms. But the songs themselves dig into complexities of the word. Sometimes, strength looks like softness in the face of difficulty. Sometimes, it’s about setting boundaries, saying no to unhealthy dynamics, and choosing to walk away. Announcing @knitting_band ’s next record, Souvenir, out June 26 on Mint. Today they share the music video for single “I Want To Remember Everything” a song that draws inspiration from some of Mischa Dempsey’s more obscure childhood references, like the Harriet the Spy movie and a fan video edit of Linkin Park song.
