When I’m creating special calligraphy commissions such as this, I’m always thinking about the person who will unwrap it and the quiet moment they’ll read it, hoping for the comfort it might bring.
I was asked to hand write this psalm for a client. She knew she could print it herself but wanted ink on paper and wanted something a little extra for her friend, a keepsake for them to return to. ✨ How thoughtful!
In difficult times, we’re carried in different ways by the kind people around us. That’s quite something and quite special indeed.

I’ve had one of my denim jackets since I was 18 and it’s absolutely part of me 😊💕. So I completely get it when brides request a personalised, hand painted and lettered jacket for their hen celebrations, honeymoon outfit planning or for their wedding day itself. Mixing the elegance of the formal with little moments that feel relaxed and completely ‘you’ just adds that softer, more casual side to celebrations. ✨
I’m picturing alfresco photos and sunset poses 🌅 … alfresco drinks 🍸 , chatting away to friends and family 💕or just those moments when the formal part of the day melts away a little ✨.

Just sharing a few highlights from April. I didn’t realise there was such a range of opportunities until I pulled this post together. It’s good to reflect 😊And Christmas planning in April? 🫣 😆I’m excited to share a new festive workshop later in the year.
There have also been some quieter moments with family and my lovely girls. I’m also trying (and succeeding 😊) in having slower weekend mornings where I can. You’ll find me up early as usual enjoying the warm early sunshine in my favourite morning garden chair listening to the birds (with my bird app in hand 🐦 😆🙋🏻♀️) or wandering around the garden checking on my pots with my morning cup of tea 🪴 before I get going for the day. The power of sunshine and blue skies 👌🏼 🫶🏽 💕
