Sorry for the long reel, but it’s been one heck of a journey. 🤍
For those who don’t know, Mint started in 2017 with two moms running a cleaning business. After getting sick from breathing in harsh chemical cleaners all day, we started making our own plant-based products just for ourselves and our families.
Then something amazing happened… our followers wanted in too. What started as a few homemade products turned into online orders, then a Shopify store, and before we knew it, things completely took off. By 2021, we had grown so much that we handed off the cleaning business and went all in on Mint full-time.
Since then, we’ve moved spaces more times than we can count, outgrown warehouses, been featured in newspapers and magazines, landed in the Jilly Box, won incredible awards, and even walked into the den on Dragons’ Den where 4 out of 5 dragons fought over us. We ended up making a deal with Brian Scudamore — a total pinch-me moment.
Now we have a flagship store in Ucluelet, nearly 500 retailers across Canada, and over 40 products. From cleaning houses with babies on our backs… to building a multi-million dollar business together.
We’ve experienced highs and lows, don’t get us wrong. We’ve shared it with you all and had nothing but love and support throughout the whole journey…somehow, through all of it, the gratitude and humble feeling never leaves us. We still look at each other some days and think… how is this real?

Welcome to Mint Spring Cleaning Guide Part 3: Dishwasher Edition ✨
You’ve gotta keep this baby clean to keep your dishes clean… and here’s how 👇
🫧 Remove the racks, take out the filter, and soak them in warm water and dish soap .🫧 Wipe down the entire inside — paying special attention to the rubber seals, corners, and edges where all the sneaky grime hides.🫧 I like using our Mint Cleaning Scrub + All Purpose Cleaner with a scrub brush to loosen everything up, then wiping it all away with a damp cloth.
Next, clean and return your filter and rack. Then sprinkle a little Mint Deodorizer into the bottom of the dishwasher, fill a mug with vinegar, place it on the top rack, and run a hot cycle!
HOT TIP 🔥Use white vinegar as a rinse aid to help keep dishes sparkling and help prevent buildup!

Mint Spring Cleaning – Part 2: WINDOWS ✨🪟
Let’s get those streak-free, crystal clear vibes goingggg:
1. Fill a bucket with warm water + 1 tbsp Mint Floor Wash
2. Grab a microfibre cloth + wash the entire window (don’t skip the corners!)
3. Squeegee like a pro: Horizontal strokes on the inside Vertical strokes on the outside
4. Finish with a dry cloth around edges + corners to stop drips 💧
That’s it. Clean, shiny, satisfyingggg 😍
