10 years!! What a miracle! What a blessing, what a life. 10 years of memories I am so grateful for.
10 years ago today, my mom had a life-saving surgery that removed the cancer from her pancreas. The 10-year pancreatic cancer survival rate is 1%.
Every day I am so grateful for my mom’s life! And although being a part of the 1% in a filthy rich kind of way might be nice, our version of the 1% is the best blessing in the world. We are the lucky ones! 💜
I love you forever @mamapirch 💜
And you too, @memorialsloankettering 🧡
What a year! I turned 30, trained for 7 months + did a marathon, went to Amsterdam and Canada, did a bowling league, got laid off from my job, saw Beyoncé, went to Gilmore Girls trivia, celebrated a third year in a row of a women’s sports team winning a championship for New York, and much much more.
Grateful for every person who was a part of my year ❤️ Best wishes to you and yours for a great new year ahead!! Cheers to 2026!
Happy birthday! I love you!!
I feel so lucky to be with someone who agrees that the best things in life start with this list: Beyoncé, Spice Girls, women’s sports, Dave & Busters, and McGriddles.
(We can agree to disagree on the Mets and Charli XCX 🥸)
My little trip through the 5 boroughs last Sunday!!! I can’t believe I did it!
I’ve always felt unathletic and didn’t really play sports because as I got older in school and in life, I was anxious and uncomfortable in my body. Going from being a kid who sprained her ankle in try-outs for middle school soccer to being a grown ass woman who trained for and completed a marathon is the glow up I didn’t know I needed.
Even though being injury-prone has not changed (hello, tibial stress fracture and a torn labrum in each hip), my dedication to myself has. Knowing I was supposed to do the marathon last year before I got injured, my training for this year turned into a 6+ month slowww, gradual build to get me there in one piece.
I trained for 32 weeks with the goal of making it to the start line. Making it to the finish line was icing on the cake. Enjoying myself between those two was the cherry on top.
The marathon was my victory lap where I got to stop and high five every little kid I saw, be cheered on by family and friends, take pickle juice shots from strangers, and dance to every band and DJ along the way. Most importantly, I got to prove to my harshest critic (me) that I am capable of committing to myself, challenging myself, and being kind to myself.
I am so proud of myself! I couldn’t have done it without the kindness and support of so many of you!
🥹🧡🏅🗽
I did that shit! AND I got my free Shake Shack burger for finishing 26.2 miles in NYC 😌
I’m waiting for all of my race day photos to come in so I’ll leave you with these for now and warn you about the forthcoming photo + emotion dump! 🥳
Today is my 30th birthday! I am so grateful for my life and to be where I am. I’ve been working so hard this year to train for the NYC Marathon in November to raise money for cancer research with @fredsteammskcc for @memorialsloankettering .
As many of you know, my mom is still alive today because of the incredible work of the people at MSK. The groundbreaking research that this fundraising goes towards is undeniably life-saving. We are proof!
If you’re interested in supporting the amazing pancreatic cancer research that MSK does, please donate at the link in my bio!
I’ll also take the moral support in addition to the $$ because… 26.2 miles… WHAT🥲🥹😭?!??
Celebration, positive vibes, and a toast to my favorite person! Today marks 9!! YEARS!!!! since my mom had a cancerous tumor removed from her pancreas.
I am the luckiest person to be her daughter and I’m grateful every day that she’s still in this world.
The five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is ~12%, which is slowly getting higher but is still the lowest of all cancers.
My mom is one of the lucky ones and it’s because of the amazing care she has received from @memorialsloankettering over the last 9 years.
✨So I’m running the NYC Marathon with @fredsteammskcc to raise money that will go directly to MSK’s pancreatic cancer research!!!!!✨
We know firsthand how important their work is and that it SAVES LIVES!!!🥹😭
Now everyone say “thanks MSK we love you Maureen!!!!!!!” 🤩
💜💪 I love you forever @mamapirch 💪💜💃
