The 38th Minimalen film festival is officially OPEN🤩
We had a great opening screening giving a sneak peak at what’s to come, featuring three regional short films presented by midtnorsk filmsenter.

Minimalen Short Film Festival’s 38th edition kicks off soon! From January 13 to 18, one of Norway’s key platforms for short film will present over 250 films at Nova kinosenter and Cinemateket Trondheim.
This year’s edition foregrounds questions of truth, diversity, and representation, with a strong focus on mockumentary and documentary forms that probe the fragile boundary between fact and fiction. Alongside the competition programmes, the festival features retrospectives dedicated to David Lynch and Marianne Heske, dance film and horror programmes, and a broad spectrum of works that embrace formal experimentation and narrative risk-taking.
