Eddie Leader is the label owner of seminal label Hudd Traxx, home to artists like
Nightmares On Wax & Jovonn. He was also the label manager for legendary label
and club night Hard Times, who were the first people to bring the likes of Masters
At Work and Roger Sanchez to the UK in the early 90’s. Eddie has released music
on labels like Luke Solomon’s Classic, Phil Weeks’ Robsoul, Chez Damier’s Balance
Alliance and had his music licensed to Defected. His music has been played by the
likes of Disclosure, Derrick Carter, Josh Wink, Riccardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones,
Kerri Chandler & Laurent Garnier.
Eddie Leader was first known as one third of DJ & Production trio Slum Science
from Huddersfield, UK. Slum Science released their 1st EP in 2003 on Belgium
label Deep Future and went on to release music on DJ Heather’s Black Cherry Imprint amongst others.
As a DJ Eddie has been playing in venues since 1997. He has rocked venues
throughout the UK including Fabric, Back To Basics, Manchester, Edinburgh, Sub
Club After Party in Glasgow, whilst also touring Europe in countries like Germany,
Belgium, Spain, France & Romania. Eddie, now based in Manchester, has toured
the States several times frequently playing in NYC, San Francicso, LA, Detroit,
Chicago, Las Vegas, Orlando, Dallas & more. His last few Tours have taken him to
Asia & South America playing in Australia, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India,
Vietnam, Cambodia, Bahrein, Thailand, Colombia, Argentina, Brasil, Mexico, Peru,
Chile and Paraguay.
