Had a wonderful day guiding a walk with Pangrey and Kaliâour lovely dogs đžâalong with three amazing guests from Germany.
As part of âAcclimatize with Mingmaâ, I offer a relaxed day tour here in Namcheâwalking with our rescue dogs, exploring the surroundings, and helping your body adjust to the altitude in a meaningful way.
This experience is not just about the walkâall proceeds go directly to support the Namche Dog Shelter.
If youâre in Namche and would like to join, just send me a message.
Come walk with us, connect with our dogs, and give back to the community đ

With deep reverence to Khumbila, guardian of our landâ
May your blessings bring protection, wisdom, and peace.
For any mistakes we have made, we ask forgiveness,
And the strength to live with compassion and respect.
Back in the heart of the Khumbu! Namche Bazar, you have my heart! â¤ď¸ Greeted with a surprise return to winter today. Itâs been a day of meeting wonderful souls and soaking in that familiar mountain hospitality. Currently resting at @panorama_lodge_namche , where the peace and ambiance always make me feel right at home. âď¸ đ đ¨ď¸ #NamcheBazaar #EverestRegion #PanoramaLodge #himalayas @nanowoman17@kristin.harila
For years, we in Khumbu have known about these issues. This is not new.
Back in 2017â2018, it was already written about. We raised concerns when helicopter traffic became too much. We tried to speak. But nothing really changed.
Today, social media is full of frustration. But here on the ground, many stay quietânot because we donât care, but because we live here, we work here, and we depend on this industry.
Yes, greed is part of the problem. But silence has also allowed it to grow.
Iâve been running a family lodge for 8 years. Iâve seen both the beauty of tourism and the damage when things go unchecked.
I truly hope this time is different. I hope the new government takes this seriouslyânot just for business, but for the future of Khumbu.
Because if we lose trust, we lose everything.

An evening like this reminds us what makes the Khumbu truly special. đď¸
Watching @lrsherpa sharing his stories with his team here in our lodgeâyears of experience, wisdom, and memories passed on in our dining room.
Not every group gets this kind of moment⌠what a lucky team to hear the Himalayas through his voice.
A heartfelt thank you to the legend for sharing your journey with all of us. đ

Important update for all trekkers visiting Namche Bazaar this season:
Due to increasing cases of poor acclimatization, a new guideline has been introduced.
đ All trekkers must now complete a mandatory ârest & raksi protocolâ â
1 glass of local raksi every 3 hours to improve blood circulation and oxygen adaptation.
This method has been âlocally testedâ and shows promising results.
Please check with your lodge upon arrival to begin the process.
Stay safe and acclimatize well đ
A slight dip this year, but still strong compared to previous seasons. Despite global travel challenges, Namche continues to welcome adventurers from around the world.
Grateful to be part of every journey that passes through our mountains.

Trekkers in Nepal â a small request from mountain lodges.
Gas supplies are tight this season.
Please help by:
đ˛ Ordering similar meals in your group
đż Reducing hot showers when possible
Small actions help lodges keep serving trekkers across the Himalaya.
Trek Kindly. Trek Responsibly. â°ď¸
