Detroit-born singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist he brings a soulful fusion of analog warmth and emotional storytelling to the Nevada City Song Contest stage. A longtime Nevada City local and founder of Hilltop Heights Studio, Nichols has become a respected voice in the local music community—performing at venues like WorldFest, The Center for the Arts, and The Miners Foundry while mentoring the next generation of artists. Deeply influenced by the spirit of Motown and the power of music as healing and connection, Nichols takes the stage to share his original song “Visions” in this year’s contest showcase.
