New Work - English Dub of Laapata Ladies (Lost Ladies) out on Netflix now.
This project has been one of the best, most fulfilling projects of my life. Keeping aside that this is India’s official entry to the OSCARS!!, it is one of my most favourite films in recent times. So directing this one was a no-brainer. It was days and weeks of work with some of the best talent I have ever worked with and I am going to shout out to them all -
@karenrebeccadsouza wrote me a script that was sweet, funny and captured the essence of every character perfectly.
@samridhiishuklaofficial my darling girl worked overtime to make sure I got the Jaya I wanted.
@hiteshbhojraj paid the most wonderful homage to Ravi Kishan with his effortlessly natural and hilarious performance.
@vrnth is our industry's rising star. I can't even tell you the way he took on this role and showed me the sheer range of his performance as Deepak. It left my jaw on the floor. Riya Girap, a 16 year old powerhouse evoking the sweet, determined Phool, is a surprise that has left everyone smiling.
@monaambegaonkar getting to work with you was a privilege and your rendition of Manju Mai is exactly what this dub needed and I am in awe.
