‘the commute’ new piece alongside other select new London Underground work.
I’m finally home after a month of being away from my bed so I’m catching up on life and ALOT of commission based work aswell as trying to have a little chill out.
worked alongside some sound cunts and I’m stoked to share what I’ve been working on.
a selection of vertical pieces.
i rarely shoot vertical photos for some reason, im just usually drawn to the horizontal framing.
over the years ive taken a couple here and there though and these are some of them.
a mix of styles and portrayals.
a curation of wide scenes from over the years.
i was always drawn to placing someone or something in a spot where it would really show the scale of everything else in the piece.
a bunch of these are different styles but all have somewhat of the same framing to an extent.
‘Pure Scotland Eh’
carrying on from my previous post about how much I love London and shooting in it, I thought I would share some pieces from a body of work made in Scotland.
documenting all things Scottish in whatever way grabs my eye, the raw dirty sides to the beautiful colourful sides and all mixed together to express the place we know so well.
almost all of these shots were taken in January 2023 when I did a week solo trip and met up with pals here and there to shoot, editing them in my hotel as jpg’s because I couldn’t export RAW’s to my iPad and I was too stoked on them to not edit them.
I remember a few years back I tried to edit the RAW’s in the same way as these to have them in higher quality but it didn’t work n I’m glad, as I’m proud of this series n the way I worked that week, with a strong vision for what I wanted I look back and remember the times where Glasgow felt like an infinite world to me.
if you’ve never been to Scotland I would recommend it, I think.
work shot in London.
missing the endless expanse of places in London to explore, shot some of my favourite pieces there over the years so here’s just a select few.
after April I’ll be open to work on stuff across the uk so hit me a mail if you want to sort some shit out, until then have these.
‘The Town That Burned’ & ‘You’re Not Alone’ are being shown at @northern.arts.scotland from this Friday for two weekends!
my grandad had been going to the club for years and I could never wake up early enough but in recent years I’ve been able to go down regularly enough and spend Wednesday mornings sketching and chatting to all the regulars!
a bunch of sound folk who all make completely different types of art took me in with open arms and I’m blown away most weeks by the crazy work created but hardly ever shared.
so now’s the chance to come and see some of this wild work! I decided to show some photography pieces instead of my other stuff and decided on one of my favourite pieces I’ve made and my dad’s favourite too!
this is the first time I’ve exhibited since my solo exhibition a few years back so should be cool!
in this post I’ve also included other photographic composites I’ve made over the years.
‘The Other Worlds’
select pieces from this body of work, I could waffle all day about the lore behind this series and everything around it, maybe one day I’ll get round to writing the book and making the movie but probably when I’m 50 so until then have these.
all shot years back in various locations.
some old work.
slowly trying to get back to creating worlds again, I have a project in the pipeline but am keen to work on a couple more when the time is right.
let me know if you want to make art, or just help me do cool shit for pieces.
