Today, August 30th, marks the 1 year anniversary of our debut album, “Elusive Perception.” We want to celebrate this day by sharing some photos, concept art by
@dyb.a.c (who made all of the art for our releases so far) and videos we made along the way (which are improperly cropped due to the app’s limitations :/)
The album began its development when we finally discovered how DIs and amp sims work. This simple and elementary discovery opened the floodgates to the ideas that landed on the album, starting with our very first single, “Zeta.”
During the process of composing and recording “Zeta” we continued to expand some of our earlier ideas, which included the next two singles, “Photoelectric Effect” and “Where Do We Go From Here,” and Contour.
At this point, our process and knowledge became much more refined and optimal, and the remaining tracks on the album materialized. At 14 tracks, we decided this was enough to provide a substantial experience to provide listeners, one which we felt truly encapsulated our musical emotions and mentality.
This album was one created by twin brothers, in one room, on one computer, a DI box, our guitars, our minds and emotions, and nothing more. It is a work that we developed throughout the course of a year by harvesting our thoughts and feelings and assimilating it into a musical experience.
We want to thank all of you for joining us on this journey and for listening to our music. We are looking forward to many more years of making music as Mindiode, and we’re beyond excited to see what the future holds for us.
