August Garden // shout out to @poppycrew !! ❤️
back in July I popped back to London for a few tasty treats, a couple of gigs and to squeeze my nearest n dearest. I had brunch with Pops and she showed me a few gorg paintings she’d been working on. We exchanged ideas, talked all things paint and play and spoke about how we missed expression - fearless expression really, because of the work we do. Anyway to cut a long story short, she gave me a blank sketchbook and told me to fill it - so I have ! And it’s been soooo freeing mark making for fun and games! Here’s what was growing in my garden throughout August. Altho the beetroot is piddly and the bok choy was nibbled by slugs, it was a fruitful month and I’m sat waiting patiently to pick the 2 squashes which have made it through the long sticky days! Roll on harvest 🌀
