Collaboration with Simone Nicola Filippo for the his latest solo show - Tour Bonheur at Quartier Général, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland.
Each piece features the iconic Charizard sprite from the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. A subtle airbrushed motif appears on the chest, positioned over the heart, while a larger composition takes up the back. The back painting occupies an area of approximately 30 × 40 cm, a reference to Simone’s preferred painting format on canvas.
Airbrush on cotton, every piece is unique.

Born in 2002, Tudor Necula, generates through the use of a multidisciplinary practice a novel type of visual language which resurfaces nostalgia aesthetics, all while mirroring current times. Remembering cartoon-like visions, Necula’s recent paintings immerses the viewer into a world where fear or evil gets blurred with the amusing and the optimistic. From analog animation to painting and installation, Tudor brings to the surface a sensible and autobiographical scenario, which invites the viewer to speculate, interpret or fulfil immediate visual pleasures. For 2002, Tudor Necula presents a narrative installation composed of premonitory old sketches, new paintings which embody his adventure of storytelling and the central piece, an arched sculpture which acts as a portal to his ambiguous lore. * @christianroncea
