10 years ago, I photographed Dragged Into Sunlight (@volcanicbirth ) for the first time. I was 22, still pretty fresh to shooting live music, and I came away absolutely gutted looking through the photos afterwards. Out of hundreds of shots, maybe 5 were usable. Of these, only one was genuinely any good and ultimately made it into Terrorizer.
Fast forward a decade, and after the first night of this short 4-date run, I’m able to put out a full album of images I’m genuinely proud of.
I think a lot of photographers carry imposter syndrome around with them quietly, no matter how long they’ve been doing it. So moments like this matter. Sometimes you don’t realise how far you’ve actually come until something puts the past and present side by side.
And honestly, having DiS themselves using and sharing these photos is still completely surreal to me. Massive thanks to the band for the support and trust.
Anyway. Here’s 20 photos from a ridiculous set in Manchester. And it's WILD to me that I had to whittle it down to 20 after last time. 🤯
They're still absolutely bonkers to try and photograph, by the way.
Watch died so can't tell you exactly how long we did (and no strava post 😭) but ~13km bimble from Barden to The Valley of Desolation and Simon's Seat with @the_noonster yesterday really helped to blow away the winter fog.
Going out and touching grass does wonders. Saw lots of frogs, 10/10.

Hey, I’m Miley.
If you’ve been here a while - sorry for the radio silence. Last summer I broke my foot in the gym, and what started as physical recovery turned into taking the time I needed to get my head back in the game too. Healing isn’t always linear… but I’m back now. Thanks to those of you who have been supporting me and giving me the much needed pep talks to get to where I am now. 🫶
I started this account for accountability (and to spare my friends on my main from relentless gym content). Back in 2020, lockdown gave me the space to make some serious changes - I hired a coach with money I wasn’t spending elsewhere, lost 50kg, and learned how to keep it off. Somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the process and taking back control when things had been spiralling before.
A bit about me: I’m alternative, heavily music-driven, powered by loud playlists, black outfits, pink lifting gear and spite on leg day. This page is about movement, strength, rebuilding confidence, and showing up - even when it’s messy or slow.
I’m also studying to be a Personal Trainer (yes, that took a pause too - shit happens, we move), but I’ve picked it back up and I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and sharing the journey.
I’m always open to gym playlist suggestions… but I will judge if they’re bad 😂

@_this_bitch_in_black_ and I were looking for an epic show to sink our teeth into after missing out on Black Sabbath tickets earlier this year. We looked at the lineup of who was playing and decided Gojira was the band we would have been most excited about.
"are they playing the UK?"
'No, but they're doing a headline Arena tour in France at the end of the year'
"oh cool, where should we go?"
'Paris?'
And that was it, booked. No second thoughts.
BUT what a treat this show was. @carbombgreg valiantly filling in for @joe_duplantier after he got surgery on his hand... Well done mate, hats off to you... you wouldn't know he wasn't an original member of the band. He fit in PERFECTLY.

10/10 show. Absolutely no notes. Worth the trip and I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat. The set absolutely WHIZZED by. I never wanted it to end. This was a special one. I fucking LOVE live music.

These images really don't give justice to how great of a weekend it was. We've made new friends, caught up with friends from home, laughed until we couldn't breathe, took part in a peaceful protest, seen many historical sights, sampled many wonderful foods and sipped many wines.
Lucky enough to have the full Paris metal scene experience squeezed in our short time, too. From seeing @sunkendenmark at @le_klub (a 150 cap venue) on Saturday, to a sold out @gojiraofficial show at the 20,000 cap @accor_arena on Sunday, to seeing our dear friends in @trivax_official at @backstagebtm yesterday before shooting off to catch our flight.
