This year’s @mcrfilmfestival has officially started today. What a privilege to be part of @metfilmschool representing our wonderful university together with @madebyboone at one of the biggest film festivals in the UK whilst also having one of my latest shorts “Little Pains” screen here as part of the official selection 🎥 📺
2026 . What we need is more curiosity.
As George Saunders beautifully stated the obvious that it is hard to be alive; that the anxiety of living makes us want to judge, be sure, have a stance, definitively decide and drives us to the need of having a fixed, rigid system of belief that could give us a relief.
but:
“In a world full of people who seem to know everything, passionately, based on little (often slanted) information, where certainty is often mistaken for power, what a relief it is to be in the company of someone confident enough to stay unsure (that is, perpetually curious).” (Saunders, “A Swim in a Pond in the Rain”)
