Reminiscing on what I learnt during the street photography workshop with Bernard Kalu @spwwbk during @toluade_ session, I’ve decided to bring the story telling skill back home, starting with my dad’s story. Anticipate 😊

Choreo Cinema World šŸŒŽ Not just film. Not just dance. But the space in between, where movement becomes image and image begins to move. Save the date. #film #discussions #dance #cinema

This is an opportunity to bring everything I’ve learnt and seen and observed in some of the film festivals I’ve been to. It’s time to actually incorporate it in a real-world scenarioā€ Listen to @milan_documentaries talk about what drew her to the Choreo Cinema World Platform. #film #chroeocinemaworld #nigeria

My plan when I was going to Dakar, Senegal was to make a short documentary, but it was quite difficult because most people speak French and I don't. I was able to make this one with the help of a lady in the hotel I stayed in and this was what we were able to come up with. I have no idea what the man is saying in the video, this is a whole different experiment for me. I just edited based on the questions asked. I recorded the audio with my dad's phone that I am currently managing. The audio was cleaned by @officially_ata_ Camera is the Canon M50 (thanks to Canon) #milancreativecorner #filmmaking #shortdoc #shortdocumentary #milanfilms

Meet our co-curator Temitope Ogungbamila is a Nigerian filmmaker, photographer, and storyteller whose work explores themes of displacement, forced eviction, gender-based violence, and life within informal settlements. She uses film as a tool for advocacy and social change, amplifying the voices of marginalized communities often left unheard. A student of History and Strategic Studies at the University of Lagos, Temitope’s creative vision is shaped by her passion for human rights and social justice. She is the co-director and co-writer of the feature film "The Legend of the Vagabond Queen of Lagos", which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and screened at several film festivals across the world, earning multiple recognitions including an Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA). Beyond this, Temitope has contributed to a range of acclaimed film and media projects that have won awards for their impact and storytelling depth. She has also worked with Canon, expanding her technical and visual practice through professional engagement with imaging tools and storytelling platforms. She is a member of the Agbajowo Collective, a community of artists and storytellers committed to documenting and amplifying grassroots realities in Nigeria. Her practice bridges research and visual storytelling, using participatory media and community-centered narratives to inspire empathy, accountability, and action. She also works with grassroots organizations to document resilience, empower youth, and advocate for inclusive development within urban poor communities. #chroeocinemaworld #film

We’re unveiling the team behind Choreo Cinema World. Choreo Cinema World is a platform for movement-based storytelling that explores how choreography , routine, ritual, and other expressions of movement systems can live beyond the stage through screen based experimental works. It brings together dance artists, filmmakers, researchers and interdisciplinary creators, creating space for movement to be seen, shared, and experienced in new ways. Today, we introduce the people shaping this vision behind the scenes. Follow our next posts to discover each team member and their roles. Stay tuned and follow this page for more updates.

Change doesn’t always come from grand gestures. Sometimes, it begins with simply showing up. Temitope @milan_documentaries witnessed a student move from hesitation to confidence—guided through a simple yet powerful moment: typing their name and pressing Enter. That small action unlocked belief, possibility, and joy. ā€œYou don’t need to be an expert; you just need to be present.ā€ If you’ve been looking for a meaningful way to give back, this is a reminder that impact starts with small, intentional steps. Volunteer with Cybtracy. Be present. Help create lasting change in your community today. #cybtracy #digitalliteracy #literacy #education #educate #computer #impact #child #teach #literacy #sustainability

God uses men, and the people he has used for me are @oluwadabest and @tolanialli I have wanted to attend SER (@_shooteditrepeat )for some years now, and I'm grateful to God it finally happened. Romans 1:11 [11]For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; "Some things are taught. Some are caught." There is just that thing about physical gatherings. I have watched almost all of Dabest's video on YouTube, I have watched most of his commercial (if not all, except it's not on YouTube). I'm so glad I could finally learn from him and watch him work. Thank you so much, @oluwadabest and @tolanialli I'm sooooo grateful. Thanks to all the people he invited as well (I will try to tag as many I know their handle) Special thanks to @filmbydt team (they are the dream team for real) Met so many amazing people as well. @fedworks @unclekennyy @blessed @mcefilms @oye_joseph
