Back in August we shared so many smiles, smooshes and shenanigans during this special set on Miko’s birthday at one of our favorite places, @collect_caisdosodre Radio. We opened with trippy vocals from @exaltics that melted into the transformative symphonic sounds of @floatingpoints and Pharoah Sanders that then drifted away into an acid house banger from @abe.duque before settling into a dubby techno groove starting with @satoshi_tomiie
Over two hours we shared some of our favorite tracks, with the last 1/2 hour being dedicated to two of Miko’s favorite genres, Breaks and (Miami) Bass.
If you look closely at the first video, you’ll see the ultimate blooper... She was so excited for this track that she got a little distracted, almost changing the music on the cdj that was live, but of course, the always-aware Ferro, with a quick little Pas de Cheval, got her back on track. <3

I am always so excited to show @ricardo_ferro_ new (to me) tracks I found. And this one was special! And he liked it! Our first b2b of the year was so much fun!
Ferro and I designed and built this booth together. We had only been dating for 2 months and I had only begun my obsession with digging and teaching myself how to mix for 4 months. Over the last 15 months this booth has seen some amazing days/nights/afters/journeys. From the fun “Pirilampo Selections” nights that I pick all the music and Ferro mixes it, to 8 official (and many unofficial) Eats’n’Beats where I cook and friends come with records and we b2b2b2b2b until we drop, to a 6 hour (!!!) b2b I did without even knowing it with my ride or die Pirate, to witnessing an amazing 7 hour journey of a fucking set one night randomly from that same pirate who made me fall in love with music and vinyl even more.
Now we are off to new adventures in Italy and the booth has gone to live in a new place and it makes me soooooooo happpppppy to know that now a little bit of pirilampo designs lives on with our friend (and with one of my favorite Techno producers), TECHNO TEMUDO! <3

Ferro played a set to remember, with NOX jumping in for a little b2b with some pure techno malhas at last month’s Fuse Family celebration for the NOX Career Bicentennial aka NOX DAY (!!!) and what a magical weekend it was! We got to see our besties White Noise, stayed on the shenanigan space ship with my love Noemi and our candle, Kiko. Syper, GilVaia, there are just too many to name! I wish it could be NOX Day every day!
One year ago I started collecting vinyl. At 41, I felt it was a bit late to be getting into a new hobby that had so many directions it could take me and knowing myself, I was about to nerd out and get hooked. Which I did. Instantly.
The problem was, I didn’t really know what kind of music I liked, let alone knowing what to call it. So as I began digging, when I came across something that really excited me, I would play it for friends much more knowledgeable and ask more about the genre and sub-genre. One thing I learned very early…
I LOVE BREAKS.
Within the first month of digging into this new hobby, I came across a video track of this various artists EP from @cultivated_electronics — I WANTED IT SO BADLY... but it was sold out… so I added it to my Discogs “wantlist” and for a solid year, every month, I would go back to check if any copies were available. One or two popped up for sale, but I wasn’t (and still am not) prepared to invest 80€ or 100€ (not including shipping!) for a vinyl. Last month, 13 months after adding it to my wantlist, I discovered that it has been repressed. I have never reacted so quickly to buy anything online, but for this, I had to have it!
Thankfully I was able to order it through my friend and local favorite vinyl reseller, Tozé from @gazelarecords in Portugal. This record is one to keep and play, on repeat!
