Part 1/4
of being in Dialogue with @tundeoduga for Act 1 of my recent solo show BOYZ II BEASTS @centralserverworks . Josh and I had an hour conversation about the roots of my purpose for why and how I make the art that I do. This 4 part dialogue is a comprehensive entry point into my mind and thinking that influence my art rituals and creative ethos especially as it relates to the recent BOYZ II BEASTS body of work.
I believe in mostly letting the art speak for itself, but Josh and I felt very strongly that there should be a moment that exists where we speak to the moment of creating the exhibition and the work to share, educate, contribute, and most importantly collaborate with our voices and perspective.

Central Server Works is excited to announce the gallery's 10th solo exhibition with artist Mike Reesé, titled "Boyz II Beasts Act 1: No Soul Left Behind," which will be on display from September 9 to November 3, 2023, at Central Server Works DTLA. This exhibition marks Mike Reesé's inaugural solo showcase in his hometown of Los Angeles and serves as the initial installment of the Boyz II Beasts series and book.
