I want to say something that shouldn’t be controversial, but somehow still is. Disabled artists exist. Disabled songwriters exist. Disabled producers exist. 
And yet there has never been a major songwriting camp built for the disabled community. We are not ‘inclusive’ as an afterthought and not ‘accessible’ on a checklist.
We want change. I’ve spent my life in music. There have been so many sessions that weren’t built for my body, my health, or my reality. And I know I’m not alone. There are so many talented disabled creators who never even get the chance to be seen not because the talent isn’t there, but because the system isn’t. So this is me asking publicly for help. I want to build the first real songwriting camp for the disabled community. A place where access isn’t an accommodation it’s the foundation. I’m calling on music publishers, labels, execs, artists, and allies:
If you talk about diversity, if you talk about equity, if you talk about changing the culture this is a chance to actually do it. Not with words. With action. If you’re disabled and creating, I see you. 
If you’re in a position to help, I’m asking you to step up. 23 years ago I was paralyzed from my chest down from a six inch blood clot that was pressing on my spinal cord from c7 to t3. After emergency surgery, 4 days in ICU and losing 16 pounds, I was told I’d never walk again at the age of 15… And this is when I found my super power. I found that if I want something, I have the power to make that happen despite the odds. I have the physical, mental and spiritual ability to do anything I put my mind and body to. I AM A FUCKING BEAST! NOBODY CAN STOP ME BUT ME! For 23 years, I never quit. For 23 years, I never made excuses. For 23 years, I kept my promises to others and to myself. For 23 years, I worked my ass for every single thing I have. For 23 years, I believed in myself. For 23 years I’ve been grateful for every step I’ve ever made. For 23 years I’ve remained undefeated. For 23 years I proved to myself that I AM A FUCKING BEAST! NOBODY CAN STOP ME BUT ME! Everyday, everybody can see the physical part of my injury and my type 1 diabetes, but they don’t realize that we all share the same inner struggle, and that’s the toughest battle, the silent one nobody sees. In life we have two wolves, the good wolf and the bad wolf. It is up to you to choose which one you feed. You control your destiny. You control your happiness. You control your life. Don’t make excuses. Go live! Be the victor not the victim. If I can do it. You can do it. Who’s stopping you?!? CANT STOP ME. CANT STOP US!
