I have always identified as a dancer, but I’ve struggled with calling myself an artist. This piece, set to the song "Hope" by NF, reflects my personal struggle between chasing success and seeking authenticity and self-actualization. It was born from a journey to find something more honest, and performed not for recognition, but from a need for expression. Creating and performing this solo was a turning point... An honest step toward claiming that identity and discovering what I have to say, both as a dancer and as an artist.

Mike Glenney is a tap dancer, choreographer, instructor, and adjudicator known for his artistry and global influence.
As a multiple World Tap Champion and medalist with over 15 World Tap Dance Championship medals, Mike continues to shape the international tap scene through performance and education.
He has trained and mentored dancers and national teams across Canada, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and his students have achieved top honors at major world-level competitions.
Founder of Music in Motion, Mike has connected tap dancers from 70+ countries through his online training and community work.
