A collection of photos I showed at @cameraofthemonthclub ’s last meeting My creative spark, like many things in life, ebbs and flows. This entire winter I didn’t touch my camera unless someone was paying me to do so. I didn’t like that - but I feel periods away from our craft help rebuild our appreciation for them. As someone once said “distance makes the heart grow fonder.” While I was in this lull - the idea of a purchasing a new camera strictly for personal use took hold of me. I wanted a camera that made me excited to use it - something discreet and somewhat pocketable. After some research I found my way to a @fujifilmx_us X-Pro 3 (thank you to my friends @ashton.gooding and @modschwalbe for your counsel while I was making my decision). Anyways, the camera isn’t as important as the fact that it made me excited to get outside and shoot it. I created these photos last weekend on two separate photo walks near Washington Square Park and I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun and freedom shooting. So all this to say… who’s trying to go for a photo walk with me this spring/summer? Shout out to the strangers kind enough to jump in front of my lens.

we aren’t supposed to be staring at these screens all day… I got off of work Wednesday morning when it was nearly 80 degrees and took a nice photo stroll along the water. One thing I’m sure of is that I need some consistent warm weather in my life. What are you feeling sure of these days?
