Took a second but these finally were installed in their rightful home in New York. Happy these two stuck together, they ended up being my favorite combo of the lot side x side.
New additions for the “FYI” series - an ongoing series of random musings and shower thoughts. From left to right: (1) The number one pencil in the world is the #2 pencil (2) If you are ever feeling down, just remember that you are 50% mermaid. They’re 22in x 30in and each handmade in editions of 6.
A few close ups of about half the pieces from a new body of work that explores the juxtaposition of text and imagery. Previous to this, most of my work has been surreal composites with very limited text or none at all. For years I’ve kept notes of random thoughts and it never occurred to me they there was ever a place for them in my work. But I finally decided to revisit the 8 year old version of me who day dreamed about comedy, writing, and everything else in between.
Bye….Bye… Mik Cooper and congrats on a super show.
And, thank you dear G 271 community for providing new homes to Mik’s mixed media collages.
See you on July 26 through August 3 for returning artist Adi Oren’s “Matter and Desire,” paintings that exquisitely explore our emotions through the interplay of color, texture and figurative gesture.

A sneak peek as we are halfway through a pop-up solo show in the Berkshires - final two days on Friday and Saturday! If you happen to find yourself in the woods, swing through. Then we head across the border to New York for Upstate Art Weekend.
New work in the pipeline. This upcoming collection will be part of a pop up solo show “In Plain Sight” in the Berkshires @gallerie271 from July 5-13. Opening reception on Saturday July 6 from 3-7pm. The work will then continue on to open studios for Upstate Art Weekend and a group show at @atlasnewburgh on July 19th with open studios to follow on the 20th and 21st. Excited to share images in the coming weeks as these babies get framed.
A super silly & fun one for a client who impressively recognized this poster I had in my collection from Home Alone. We couldn’t not give a nod to Kevin and so here we are. 85 inch x 30 inch mixed media collage in Carolina blue on a life sized poster of MJ, finished and framed in the same color to match.
40 in x 40 in mixed media collage. Cold pressed paper with a deckled edge layered with matte paper, construction paper, paint and an eternal question. Completed July 2022.
Preview of new work I’ve been taking my sweet, sweet time to finish. This one was completed at the end of 2022 and awaiting its new home wherever that may be. 36 in x 48 in mixed media collage.
A more recent 34 in x 34 in end of year commission for the lovely @blackberryfarmdesign team for their client in North Carolina. Can’t wait to see this framed and on the wall.
