Yamaha is considered to be some of the best MiJ drums out there. I highly recommend getting your hands on some of these kits.

60s Yamaha D Series Kit in Red Ripple // These drums are 1/4” undersized shells like Camco, and have an edge very similar to Oaklawn shells, minus the rerings and with a bit of a peak. I believe this was a DT-225 which came with 2 12” toms but this set is 12 13 16 20. For now I’m only selling the 13 and 16 toms (original heads!) and looking for a 14” FT to complete the set, but if you just have to have the entire kit we can work something out.
