Had the privilege once again to design the new issue of POSSESSED for @satisfyrunning this month. A special thanks to the big boss @bricepartouche for the vision and trusting me with this, to @okaycrom for the content / editing, to @aymeric.drogon for the extra design eyes, to @pierredavid for the brilliant photos / amazing imagery, to the other GD boys ( @grosbaptiste and @esquivestudio ) for the good vibes and encouragement in the studio, and my dear pal @zodyburke for her dope ass illustrations every time! This issue was called “The Great Escape,” and featured a number of inspiring stories about people who have overcome different types of addiction with the help of running. @travisbarker was our cover story, and featured amazing photos by @alex_papke . There is an incredible interview with SATISFY pro athlete @woah_max , and some fun stuff with new SATISFY pro @bygolly.molly . Also, @civ_gb from Gorilla Biscuits made a playlist, and @ab_runs talks about overcoming her alcohol addiction. This was a very inspiring issue, and super fun to design! This issue covers @saddles100 in Prescott, Arizona, which is a race organized by SATISFY ( @satisfyrunning ) pro-athlete @michael.versteeg in his hometown. The issue features a hilarious astrology section by Mike, a photo story from Saddles, an interview with artist Geoff McFetridge ( @mcfetridge ), a new playlist from guitar savant Matt Sweeney ( @theheavyjamz ) and much more. 🤠 Another issue of POSSESSED Magazine is out this week! This one is near and dear to my heart. The issue feels like a cross between a Richard Prince appreciation piece, and a fucked up Black Metal zine. I’m always super appreciative of @bricepartouche for allowing me to design this publication, to @okaycrom for the amazing written content, to @pierredavid for the incredible photography and @aymeric.drogon for his keen second set of eyes! The issue has an interview with @johnnymarrgram , illustrations by my sister-from-another-mister @zodyburke , a playlist from Waylon Jennings’ son @shooterjennings and a lot of photography and interviews with the @satisfyrunning pro running team. Around this time last year, while many pro trail runners were racing in Chamonix, @michael.versteeg took a disposable Kodak camera, some poles, cheap clamp-ons, some @satisfyrunning shorts and a SATISFY long sleeve shirt and ran to the top of Mont Blanc (the tallest peak in Europe). For those unaware, this is terribly bad ass, albeit dangerous, as most folks go with professional guides, ropes and serious winter gear. Michael wrote a beautiful text that accompanied the poem “Mont Blanc” written by the 19th century English poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. The book is unbound and creates a number of unique diptych posters that can be rearranged. All of the text is printed on transparent paper, while the photos are printed on 120 gram Munken Rough Lynx paper. The format is quite big (290mm x 400mm), and was beautifully off-set printed. Thanks to @bricepartouche for letting me do this, and @pierredavid and @aymeric.drogon for all of the good feedback! Thanks to Michael for the inspiring trek, documentation and writing. The book is called “O’er The White Mountain,” and can be purchased at the SATISFY pop-up in Chamonix, which ends tomorrow.

I designed a new issue of POSSESSED magazine for @satisfyrunning that dropped today. Always grateful to @bricepartouche for the opportunity and guidance, to @okaycrom for the fun writing, to @pierredavid for the epic photos to work with, and @aymeric.drogon for being an amazing sounding board. This issue dropped in tandem with SATISFY’s first signature shoe (TheROCKER). There are some really fun spreads / interviews in this issue. As usual, I had my dear friend @zodyburke create some incredible illustrations for our Bull Shit Report. There are interviews with many people responsible for the design of the shoe, including our fearless leader, Brice Partouche. Also, an insane interview with SATISFY Pro Athlete @woah_max about his @cocodona250 and Moab 240 races. Cop the new issue and a pair of new kicks at the SATISFY website!

🏜️Had the opportunity to design the latest issue of POSSESSED magazine for @satisfyrunning recently. Incredibly grateful to the boss @bricepartouche for the opportunity to work on this, to @okaycrom for the editorial brilliance, to @pierredavid for the 👁️, and @aymeric.drogon for always being there to provide amazing feedback. This issue is about Arizona, a state I really love, and it was rad to work with so many amazing folks on this. Particularly psyched to have featured my dear friend @kylevonmuller about his @thebeyond_project , and had my unbelievably talented bestie @zodyburke create some unreal illustrations for the mag. There is a bad ass playlist by @gatecreeper frontman @hellahammer , a terribly funny interview with @tarantuladreamingseason about Arizona desert critters, a race report about @saddles100 and a great interview with ultra marathon pro @hawks_hayden that was photographed by @derricklytle . This magazine will drop at The Black Canyon Ultra race in Arizona at the end of the month, and will be available online at the SATISFY web store. As a side note, I recently got my work visa for France, and am incredibly grateful to Brice and the entire SATISFY fam for hiring me. Big ❤️ for letting me be a part of this team!
