A few things worth knowing before you fly:â

Declare at security â and go first. â
Let TSA officers and your flight attendant know upfront that you have a PICC and IV medication. You can request to be escorted directly to your gate and ask for help with your bag.â

Pack by the day, not by the trip. â
Count out the supplies you'll need for each day of your trip. If your medication has a prescription label on it, make sure it's visible. A little prep before you leave saves a lot of scrambling at the airport.â

Don't lift your own bag. â
Medical carry-ons can get heavy, and with a PICC, you shouldn't be lifting anything heavier than a gallon of milk. Ask a flight attendant or fellow passenger to help with the overhead compartment â when your PICCPerfectÂŽ Cover is visible, people are usually glad to help.â
