It was only fitting to give this one an 80s name, because of the florals, lines and shapes that are giving 80s maximalism 🤩 I loved working on the concept with my client, Molly who had the vision, and of course Creative Director, Cheeto who would pop in for progress checks and head scratches 🐶🥹

Almost seven years ago, I was inside the iconic Witch’s Hat Water Tower — the tower also inspired my Midway Creative logo 🧙♀️
This Wednesday, my MPLS Unity posters will be projected onto it alongside work from other artists whose pieces were inspired by our city, by projection artist @secondsightvisuals .
This one means a lot.

I made this as part of a series in response to Minneapolis’s recent ICE invasion. Each element reflects a climate pushed to extremes, transforming familiar icons of resilience into fragile things.
