Hello our Beloved Midpointeians™, over these last five years we have had an incredible journey releasing 3 ep’s playing many shows and have made many memories and friends along the way. That being said all good things must come to an end. As some of you might know our guitarist Nick had to step down from the band after moving to Texas for a job opportunity, we are very happy for him and wish nothing but the best and success for him and are very thankful for the time he had with us. In the time since we have had Mike Arrigo join us and are having a great time with them! But we have also agreed that a big change is needed and has been needed for a while now and with that The Death of Midpointe is upon us. We are incredibly grateful for all the support you all have given us over these last five years whether it be streaming our music or checking us out at a show without you guys we are nothing so thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. I also want to give a big thank you to everyone in this band and who has been a part of this band in the past: Keegan, Jimmy, Kristian, Kristoff, Lilly, Jon, Jake, Brandon, Nick, and Mike. You are all amazing people and friends and I’m so happy to have seen the projects some of you have made since, everybody is incredibly talented and I’m thankful for you all. Let me be clear though music will still be made by the four of us however what you all know as Midpointe will be no more. We are incredibly excited for the future and hope you all stick around and see what we will have for you with a new start. A death isn’t complete without a funeral though so we would like to invite you all to our own hosted at our homebase the Ashbary Coffeehouse Friday March 27th. Our friends in Sattva Dog, Ten Till Dead, and Confusion will be there as well to help give us one last hurrah. We hope to see you all there and party with us one last time. The Summer of Pointe™️ is in season!! We’ve got many a good show coming up for all you Beloved Midpointeians™️ First this Friday 7/18 EMO BOWLING @ Tivoli Bowl in Downers Grove with @feelslikekarmaband @ginamarimusic and @luckygirlsyndrome999 Then Sunday 7/20 we’re going back to @fallenlog with @kingsans.band @cruel_universe and @kinginyellowband 7/26 doing an earlier matinee show @theburlingtonbar with @glitterpitband @confusion.bandd and @_bugoff_ And 8/1 we going back to our homebase @ashbary_coffeehouse with @thepublikband in celebration of their single along with @matadorredband and @borninblonde !! Thank you all for 1K Beloved Midpointeians™️!! Last year was a bit rocky for us to say the least and the fact that you all stuck around and then some means the world to us. If you’ve seen us the past few months or so you’ve most likely have seen a couple new faces on stage so we’d like to officially welcome Nick (@nick.tsio ) on guitar and vocals and Brandon (doesn’t have an insta smh) on bass!! These two guys are extremely talented and genuine people that helped us pick up the pieces when we were uncertain about the future of Midpointe so give them a big welcome!! I’ve been staring at this in disbelief, trying to think of what to type. There’s so much that can be said but I think the best thing to say is just, thank you all so much for listening to us and giving this little Chicago band a chance. This year has been crazy to say the least for us thank you for being here for all the ups and downs with us and still going to our shows and all the support. This is our favorite thing to do and we can’t express enough how much all your support means to us and we’re excited for you all to see what 2025 has in store Thank you again - Mike, Jake, Brandon, and Nick
