MIDÉ Bride @kiky_festus 🌸
A quiet symphony of silk, grace in every stitch, a work of art long foretold.
A custom detailed corseted bodice mikado silk tea-length dress featuring a peak-a-boo bust detail and finished off with an exaggerated hand-made flower detail at the back.
Today, she becomes art.
Forever, she remains it.

Dearest Readers,
We present to you, MIDÉ spring/summer’26 couture collection titled ‘Tales of Art’
~ an enchanting tale of art and cultural heritage.
Art moves like a whispered myth in the wind, and fashion darling, fashion is the storyteller who never loses her voice. Together they dance, weaving silk and spirit, stitching emotion into form. In their embrace, imagination becomes law.
From Nigeria’s sun-kissed horizon rises a rhythm older than empire. Think of the ochre glow settling over the Lekki-Ikoyi waters, the pink hush of evening caught on the edges of tin-roofed homes, the bronze skins of ancient Benin artifacts watching the centuries roll by with regal patience. These are not just sights; they’re the heartbeat beneath every brushstroke, every hemline, every daring silhouette.
The sculptor’s chisel echoing the talking drum, the painter’s palette mirroring the sunset over Abuja’s hills, the designer’s sketches flirting with history yet refusing to be trapped by it. Everything is alive, everything is in conversation. Even the landscapes speak through waterfalls tumbling like laughter, through forests humming with ancestral memory, through the Atlantic that keeps rewriting the edge of the nation.
In this story, fashion becomes a vessel of identity, a way to honor the past without being drowned by it, a way to imagine futures that feel bold, soft, rebellious, divine. The arts sharpen our vision; fashion gives it a body. Together they become a living archive of who we are and who we dare to become.
These are the Tales of Art; etched in bronze, dyed in indigo, lit by a Nigerian sun that refuses to dim for anyone.
Your Truly,
MIDÉ
