This week marked one year since Middle Meets’ first trip to Rome.
During that visit, David Ullendorff and Felix Chamberlain created In the Middle - a film documenting the difficult and honest conversations shared by program participants.
“In the Middle” has been screened at events across the United States.

Meaning Meets Us youth encounter with Pope Leo XIV: a call to build peace. 🕊️
Today, Israeli, Palestinian, and American students — from @georgetownuniversity and @telavivuni — attended the audience with Pope Leo XIV and reflected together on the importance of building peace in the Middle East.
The Pope left them with an inspiring message that transcends borders 🗣️ “We all need to build bridges for peace.”
A phrase that invites us to keep building together the culture of encounter, recognizing that from diversity emerge the bridges that unite and heal our differences. Because diversity doesn’t divide: it enriches.
This was the closing of Meaning Meets Us📢
Today, young Palestinians, Israelis, and Americans brought their voices to Pope Francis and shared their conclusions on meaning and peace💬
After days of dialogue, art, and reflection, they reaffirmed that the first step to building hope in times of division is to meet each other.
