2025 Theatre Highlights Part 2 1. Evita raised the roof, phenomenal cast and went again to watch Bella's Eva too 💎 2. The Years was powerful and moving 3. Snatched a last minute return ticket for The Producers at Menier, so glad they transferred 4. KENREX at Southwark Playhouse, unbelievable talent, see it at The Other Palace if you can 5. Will happily watch Mason Alexander Park smash any role and Hiddleston and Atwell were brilliant. Who knew Shakespeare could be a party? 6. Scissorhandz had a brilliant songlist and cast - Creep was 🤯 7. I already mentioned Piaf in a post earlier last year but Audrey Brisson is next level 8. The Ministry of Lesbian Affairs at Kiln Theatre, I need an OWL in my life 9. Watching West End Woofs with Bernadette Peters and Elaine Paige singing with dogs at Covent Garden is exactly the type of thing I moved here for 🤣 10. Lenny Henry had me hooked in Every Brilliant Thing 11. Hearing The Bells Of Notre Dame performed live was worth it alone 12. Tracie Bennett and John Patridge were amazing in The Code showing the struggles of queer Hollywood actors 13. Songs For A New World with Broadway icons and JRB there on piano, nuts 14. Punch was incredibly moving and the cast are top notch 15. The Last 5 Years at Reading Rep, gagged 16. Hot Mess was a fun two-hander with some bangers 17. The Importance of Being Earnest - hilarity and Stephen Fry throwing shade 18. The Sound of Music at Leicester Curve, incredible set and numbers, great to see Molly Lynch and David Seadon-Young again 19. Awkward Productions had me howling again, this time with The Fit Prince, sending up all of those Hallmark and Netflix holiday movies you secretly like to watch 20. Riverdance 30th Anniversary, a show I was obsessed with as a kid and finally got to see in person, Firedance is still top tier 💃

2025 Theatre Highlights Part 1 1. Cracking up at Titanique and mindblown by the vocals 2. Jonathan Bailey in Richard II 3. Goosebumps watching the OBC Hadestown cast 4. My Neighbour Totoro stage magic 5. Stunning staging of Oliver 6. Pop Off Michelangelo brought bops and camp fun 7. Shucked, what a treat 8. Stereophonic brought drama and tunes 9. Lovestuck was feel-good and fun, and seeing one of my faves do her thing onstage 10. London Road used vertabim real life quotes as song, fascinating 11. Til The Stars Come Down was gripping, funny but with some gut punches too 12. Footballers Wives did exactly what you'd expect 13. Sean Hayes was brilliant in Good Night, Oscar 14. All the emotions seeing three of my fave Wicked alumni 15. All the tears during the penultimate Benjamin Button show 16. A Christmas Carol was a stunning production in all aspects 17. Midnight, the vocals were off the scale and Todrick has crazy skills 18. The premiere of Paddington was wonderful, long may he reign! 19. Coven conjured lots of emotion with a great cast 20. Finally stepped foot in The Globe for Pinocchio and it was lovely #london #theatre #musicals #play

All in all a very wholesome Bank Holiday weekend with some theatre, a live concert and a wander around the V&A. Some workouts and time singing and playing guitar. Piaf was wonderful, and the Heroes and Villains concert had me either grinning or with goosebumps at any given point. 🪗🎻🥁🎹🎺

So lucky to meet the legendary Billy Porter and Marisha Wallace last night. Their performances of I Don't Care Much and Cabaret in particular were incredible. A whole lot of goosebumps and held breath/tears in Act 2. Wow 🤩 was still stunned and had my phone off when we said hi to Marisha 😅 #cabaret #westend

November was taken over by Wicked basically. I've loved it since I was 15 and not only did Part 1 exceed my expectations, I got to experience it with friends who I've seen perform the songs for years, as well as introduce friends to it who fell in love with it. Looking at @annesophieleurink and @birdielicious "Not a theatre girlie" 🤣 There was also an amazing display at Heritage Auctions with original photos and props from The Wizard of Oz with one of the original pairs of Ruby Slippers and Margaret Hamilton's Wicked Witch of the West hat, arguably some of the most iconic cinema props of all time. (They also had the Jumanji game and an original Wonka Golden Ticket I was geeking out 🤣😱) #wicked #thewizardofoz

Lucky to see some incredible theatre last year with @toretangnorway and friends. Hard to narrow down highlights so first up musicals. Hadestown was so special and everything I hoped it would be. Beverley was the perfect Deloris. Imelda Staunton played the wittiest and lovable Dolly Levi. Kiss Me Kate deserves a notable mention for the legendary Stephanie J Block, not to mention the Too Darn Hot number. Next To Normal blew me away, incredible cast and really hit close to home. A Chorus Line, the energy and talent, wow. Standing At The Sky's Edge was beautiful, both Rachael Wooding and Lauryn Redding in particular blew me away. Just For One Day was full of iconic songs and insane vocals. We went to Moulin Rouge on Valentine's Day and had a blast. Last but not least, The Big Life was fantastic, been a big fan of Tameka Empson since 3 Non-Blondes and she is hysterically funny. Due to pic limit, notable mention for The Baker's Wife, Songs For A New World, Fiddler on The Roof, In Clay, Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder, Your Lie in April, Why Am I So Single, Little Shop of Horrors, Babies, Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812. Plus My Fair Lady and Benjamin Button which I already included in Dec post #musicals #london #westend #stratfordeast
