Microenvironment is a sound art project out of mountain view county Alberta. The focus of the project is to instill a sense of presence by elevating awareness of one’s body and the space which it occupies. Living in the moment requires Microenvironment to improvise and make choices that feel right for right now.
At the upcoming ABEND show Microenvironment will improvise and compose a performance titled Proprioception. This performance will heighten the sense of the relative position of a person’s parts of the body.

How cool is it that we have a body. Some folks think that the mind and body are separate, but we think they are full of shit. A body is something that is yours even though no body is truly free from the influence of external power. We should celebrate how wonderful having a body is by feeling inwards. First feel your eyes, eyes mouth and skin. Next a little deeper, maybe your muscles or bones. Deeper, still, can you feel your heart or lungs? Maybe your stomach? What about all the other neat stuff like your kidney or liver? We've got two performances coming in November. The theme will be proprioception. Keep your eyes peeled for more information soon.
