When it comes to analog intensifier based night vision - the lie of passive aiming lives in the lack of ability to PID a target effectively & timely.
Thermal has been deciding the outcome of skirmishes in the dark for some time now - quietly, with the advent of relevant upgrades happening monthly - its only a matter of time before emitting heat is a death sentence.
There is no formal doctrine on how to defeat the capability in all forms of employment - but many companies are working on it behind the scenes.

Why the PRI rail - admittedly the inspiration to use it came from @firing_device_electrical_m57 who did a restomod type left hand wood stock R700 utilizing an offset PeQ-2, something about black boxes hanging off the side of precision rifles. These rails have known issues and we had easier solutions, the motivation was aesthetics.
To answer the question of how it’s so accurate - the entire system hangs off the rail, including the LRF - which is mounted to the PRI rail via recessed channel drop down bar made by PRI, PRI-02-BAR-SR instead of the chassis, to increase accuracy at range via laser shooting.
The rail was modified using 3 - 6mm stainless steel custom fitted pins to take all the pressure off the bolts, the bolts were drilled and tapped oversize, down the entire length if the barrel over 10 stainless steel set screws are mated with dimples and provide solid contact with the barrel and rail, then torqued to spec and thread locked.
Grey Birch makes the chassis, the machining is impeccable and so is the design. For a smaller lesser known shop, they make one of the better chassis systems.
In short the idea was to make the entire system as close to monolithic as possible, in that case weight becomes your friend - any failures to address exact fitment were remedied with dampening via untraditional methods.
The system lives in the dark, it has no purpose in daylight and would be rapidly outclassed, its sole purpose is to hit man sized targets repeatedly inside 600meters while being handy enough to move mountain to mountain.

Through the process we covered nearly 30 versions and hundreds of design changes over 9 months. We encountered hardware advancements, use case updates and new system capabilities while adapting to real time after action reports, ending in large scale production.
Each system is made up of over 290 individual parts, formed into 23 part numbers and has resulted in one of the most capable miniaturized xray systems ever made.
Microbat Systems will continue to work behind the scenes to develop next generation equipment for the end user.

Laser Options - What Are You Using?
For me the L3 UHP or LA5-C has become the laser of choice across all intermediate and heavy caliber systems, due to durability, capability and repeatability.. I have yet to find something that comes close, looking forward to BE Meyers new options however they are a ways away from release.
